I have a samsung front loader washing machine. Today it is not working, as if there is no power. The trouble shooting guide has not helped. The electric plug is fine (another appliance tested OK).

One of the main problems with Indesit front loaders ( apart from replacing the door interlock switch) is

If the door will not close and click in the lock, then take the door off with a tork screwdriver and take the screws of the inner plastic off the door (make sure you do this on a flat surface) and gently prize off the inner plasic by running round a flat head screwdriver..
Once you have taken off the door and glass bowel - check out the door catch to see if a metal rod has come out of its housing holding the catch and spring in place and refit or replace.
I have come across many door catches like this.

Its on the back of machine and after you remove the back cover plate youll see that its very easy to install the new one.You shouldnt have to use any tools to put on the new belt.Just loop it around the motor pulley and around the large tub pulley that you see right in front of you.It may even appear to be too tight while your winding it on the pulleys but its not .

Always check to see if the water waste (located normally at bottom right) has no foreign objects in their such as bobby pins, coins etc It has happened to me 3 times (first time cost me $150)

Im soory to have to tell you this but i belive it is mostlikley the motor control board and it is worth a couple hundred dollars plus lobour it is the board benith the durm in the front right corner i hope im wrong on this i bet your clother are stuck in there with the door locked full of water there is a trick to draim then unlock the door by pushing in 2 buttons at the some time but i cant think of it right now ill try to post that trick if i recall it latter hope this helped

Hi
An OE error presents if the washing machine has not successfully drained the water in ten minutes.
there are a few simple steps to take before calling for service.
Step 1: Check the drain pump filter.
Items caught in the drain filter will prevent proper drainage. Over time build up can occur from detergents and additives used in the machine. Manually drain unit through the drain hose, then lay a towel down to catch the water, and remove the filter. Clean the filter thoroughly and restart the machine.

Step 2: Check the washers drain hose.
If the drain hose is not installed properly, the washer will not drain properly. The drain hose should not be installed more than 1 meter higher than the bottom of the washing machine.

Step 3: Confirm that the washer is leveled properly.
If the unit is not leveled properly, it will not drain properly. The front of the unit cannot be higher than the back or vice versa. If not properly leveled, the water can flow back into the machine. If this is the cause of the problem, please level the machine using the supplied leveling wrench. When you place a level on the washing machine, the bubble should be in the center. Confrim that the washer is leveled from side to side and front to back.
you can perform a diagonal test when leveling the washing machine to ensure that the unit does not tilt from corner to corner.
