Dropped the wireless keyboard and now the monitor won't work, works fine on another system

My son dropped the wireless keyboard, and coincidentally (?) now the monitor won't work, the computer is on. Checked all connections 3x. Connected monitor to another computer and it works fine. I feel like this happened before and I fixed it but cannot for the life of me remember how.. Please help!

this is capacitors problems inside the monitor. If you have some tools , screwdrivers, soldering iron and some experience, open carefull the back of your monitor after to unplug from the outlet.
you will see in power supply board a capacitor who which the top has changed . replace that capacitor.

Please reduce the resolution/ Frequency of your Display Card in system and see whether you can see some thing. Else connect this monitor to another system with low resolution. Let me know your feedback.

I had the same problems as almost all of these people and the answer seems to be that I uninstall the current Nvidia Drivers and use a previous set. The 169.28 were a real problem for me. Just when I thought it was working I would get the strange wash out and I could not turn it off except with the back power switch, aslo using the DVI turns off all the on screen controls.

Good Luck

Two things come to mind...

If the monitor is fitted with moister sensors it will as a safety measure not turn on, this can be due to damp in the room etc.

Second and more probable is the fuse has blown on the circuit board to the monitor. you will unplug power lead open back up and look for a smaller than plug size fuse which is chrome ended and clear glassed. About 3/4 inch long and 1/8th dia.

Ensure these are replaced with a similar graded fuse. Maplins is a safe bet to obtain them. best to take old one in with you.
