Audiovox FR-530 two-way radios don't communicate

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get my Audiovox FR-530 two-way radios to communicate with each other again? I have them on the same channel and they don't seem to be "syncing". I've tried all channels and scanning. Any thoughts?

Re-programming of all your radio to synchronize its default frequency, will solve your problem,

Thank you my friend

Hello snorker,

It could be battery / power issue. Two-way radios draw much more power when transmitting then receiving. If the batteries are weak the radio might work perfectly fine on receive and then cut-out when you depress the Push-To-Talk.

follow instructions on page 13 of your manual "using monitor button" place receiving radio in monitor and key up other radio. It is better if you have someone help. have another person take the radio to another room away from you to complete test. sometimes if the radios are two close too each other they will cancel each other out.

The Bellsouth 2231 is a FRS VHF I couldn´t find if thi Bell south 1007 is FRS in UHF or VHF if you have this informtion compair them if both are in the same band VHF or UHF both radios can communicate to each other
